Lifting sling bundling method
Mar 24,2025
There are three main methods for slinging lifting slings, each suitable for different scenarios and types of heavy objects, ensuring safety and stability during lifting:
1. Loop Slinging Method
Method Description: Pass the sling through the bottom of the heavy object and hook the end to the hook.
Applicable Scenarios: Mainly used for container equipment or equipment with a relatively regular shape.
Advantages: Simple operation, suitable for regularly shaped heavy objects, and can effectively prevent slippage.
2. Choker Hitch Method
Method Description: Use a shackle to form a loop with the sling, and then use the loop to sling the heavy object. Usually, the sling is passed under the heavy object, and the shackle is used to connect the sling end and the middle section of the sling. The middle section of the sling can move freely in the shackle.
Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for heavy objects that require tightening force to ensure that the sling does not slip after the heavy object is vertical.
Advantages: The heavy object is fixed by tightening force to prevent slippage, suitable for irregularly shaped heavy objects.
3. Shackle Connection Slinging Method
Method Description: Use a shackle to connect the sling end and the lifting ring or lug on the heavy object for lifting.
Applicable Scenarios: Commonly used for equipment or heavy objects with lifting lugs or rings. Adjust the number of shackle connections according to the number of lugs or rings.
Advantages: Stable connection, suitable for heavy objects with fixed lifting points, ensuring stability during the lifting process.
